Eirias Park Boat House
The plans to enclose the boat house are a-foot, with the approval of Conwy CBC Capita Symonds have been appointed as architects for the project and are drawing up plans to seek planning permission asap. Several contractors have been approached to undertake the work (they must be on the Conwy County Borough Council approved list) and all are interested. We will need to submit three quotes for the Council budget holder to approve but we are dependent on the final design being approved by the Planning Authority.
The work has to be completed by the 31st March 2010 and the funding is through "Splash Grant", from the Environment Agency accessed by the Outdoor Partnership to promote watersports and outdoor activites. The grant budget holder is the Leisure Department of the Council.
In addition we have a new 15ft Mobile Adventure canoe joining the fleet of kayak and canoes we currently have to assist in the delivery of the new 2 and 3 star syllabus. Our thanks to Sports Council of Wales for Funding this purchase.

AGM News
The Club AGM was on 11th December at the Sea Anglers Club in Rhos on sea. It was a really well attended night. The business was brief, the accounts were well prepared and believable. Adam Harmer the Regional Coaching Organiser showed a great video of his trip to South America. Committee Members were elected and the plentiful buffet was scoffed.
Well done Simon for a great year as Chairman for and organising so much. Hopefully next year will be even better.
